New Zines at The Ricecooker Shop

A brand new zine called Radical Review featuring DIY reggae mavericks The Garrison and also grindcore faves Tools of the Trade, and lots more. We are also very happy to see the second issues from the very good read Innerview (from the DEP camp) and d-beat/crust champion Punk Ping Pong (by Pat Apparatus). At the same time we also have the first issue of Burning Distortion (another d-beat worship) by Seed (Skullcrusher/Defeat/Skitsofrenia). And of course, we have October’s MRR plus most of the back issues. There are more but come around lah!

Radical Review is done by Kuala Terengganu’s Killing Steward’s vocalist, Arip. He also started a record/clothing label called Steward Records. But he’s currently based in KL. Quite a simple yet good debut issue.

I must say here that The Garrison’s interview were done spontaneously in the streets of BB in Bahasa Malaysia, The editor, Arip took those words which were recorded, home and edited them, chopping and changing here and there. So the outcome might be a bit too weird for our liking and i’ve sounded this out to the editor himself! Haha. Anyway, it’s still okay for a first although the grammar should improve! On Innerview, it really is a good read and the graphic might be a bit too professional! I hope they could keep it up until #100. …..

Joe, thanks for the plug.
Hey Dr Feelgood! Those zines are already on the way to your mailbox. Should reach you some time next week I hope. Make sure you mail me a copy of your FI ep or I’ll kick you virtual ass. Numsayin’? ;P
elpheng, on behalf of Innerview team, thanks so much for your comment. We’re not trying to be too ambitious with the graphics and stuff but… If we need people to take us seriously, then we need to be serious in what we’re doing. Cheers buddy! ;)

Yup-no problem-I should be back in Ohio 3rd week of November, so-I have our first EP (’Death to the Fascist Insect…’), ‘Fall of America’ and HOPEFULLY our split with Necrocannibalistic Vomitorium will be done by then…but wait, there’s more!!!!~
Pure Minds Records is going to release both of our EPs on one cassette, side A being ‘Fall of America’ and side B being ‘Death to the Fascist Insect…’~ with the new title of ‘American Injustice System’-limited run of 200 copies, or so I’m told…so…any news I’ll holla at y’all.
